Who are we and why are we doing this?

We are a family of six, a dedicated second generation tending to Mink Vineyard. Originally planted by beloved “Grandpa Billy Mink” in 1995, Mink Vineyard is in the heart of Coombsville, an American Viticultural Area just east of the town of Napa. We are the current stewards of these pinot noir vines. In preparation for managing Mink Vineyard and crafting wines from the estate, our family lived and learned viticulture and winemaking in Priorat (Catalonia) and Burgundy.

We believe that wine is alone in being able to tell stories of time and place through the senses. We strive to tell you our story as well as the story of this volcanic site that was formed millions of years ago and is now influenced heavily by the marine breezes that make our vineyard one of the coolest areas of Napa Valley.

As a family, we are often in the vineyard working, so we farm sustainably and minimize chemical use. We think that is the best thing for the planet, our health, and importantly it unleashes the depth of character of the wine itself.
